Missouri is one of two states that touch the most other states, that number being eight. The climate is characterized as humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold winters. At its southernmost part, the climate boards on humid subtropical. It is not unusual for Missouri to experience temperature extremes, due to no nearby oceans or high mountains to moderate temperatures.

Through 2014, project management careers in the construction industry will experience above average growth, which is great for a state like Missouri. DeVry University offers both a master’s degree and graduate certificate in project management. An advanced degree is usually required for the highest-level positions in this field. Students should prepare themselves by getting a bachelor’s degree in business and specializing in project management.

Avila University, Bryan College, Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center, Central Methodist University, Clinton Technical School, and College of the Ozarks have project management programs. Two bible colleges, Baptist and Calvary, also offer courses of study in project management. Students can receive a faith-based education in their chosen subject area. They can also take specialized courses at community college to build their foundation.

Project managers supervise the resources for large projects in different industries. They must ensure that projects are completed within the time, budget, staff, and material allotments and according to quality standards. Missouri project management schools teach students how to do this and prepare them to rise through the ranks to group manager or director.
